Listen "1648: Smiling Through Dementia"
Episode Synopsis
My Grandmother has dementia. She recently developed a pronounced tremor in her hands so I took her to the doctors.
I thought it could be her blood sugars.
The doctor thought it was probably stress and anxiety brought on by the recent death of her Brother.
He prescribed smiling and laughter. Something we could all use more of.
My Grandmother occasionally forgets her husband, daughter and four siblings are dead.
Her Brother just gone was 20 years younger than her, the youngest of five. She was the oldest.
Now she is the last.
