Cheez on bread
Meaning: 'Wow! ' It's an exclamation of amazement uttered with great enthusiasm and emphasis. Sometimes this is followed by reference to the thing that prompted the exclamation: 'Cheese on bread, she lookin' fine'.
After the first English settlement at Holetown in 1627, Barbados remained a British colony until achieving independence from Britain on November 30th 1966.
