One of the greatest gifts we offer are tools and encouragement to help clients advocate for themselves. Getting them to the understanding that they are the captain of their divorce and they have hired other professionals (or asked others for input) as part of their decision-making process, but not in place of it. When clients are able to make informed, intentional choices, they walk away from divorce feeling empowered, not victimized. And that leads to a faster and fuller recovery.
