Melissa Smith is 17 years old and in grade 12. At the end of her grade 10 year she was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in her right leg, which is an aggressive bone cancer. She faced many complications and delays throughout her treatment, but is grateful she was able to keep her leg and is currently in remission.
