Listen "Episode 87: Be Somebody’s Biggest Fan | Intergenerational Connections | Dr. Michael Johnson"
Episode Synopsis
Stop and think about five people outside of your family who have impacted your life the most. Are they all in the same age range as you? My guess is that those people represent a wide range of ages.
Intergenerational connections are vital to our growth as individuals and the health of our communities. In a world that is fractured and compartmentalized, we can uniquely grow through relationships with people in different phases of life.
I asked my friend, Dr. Michael Johnson, to come and share with us about intergenerational connections. Michael has been serving at Trevecca Nazarene University for thirty-four years, and through his experience in higher education and deep investment in the Church, Michael has valued and prioritized intergenerational relationships.
I met Michael and his wife, Sarah, when I was in college. They became cheerleaders for me and I know that they’ve done this for countless others. I couldn’t think of a better person to help us lean into a conversation about the gift of intergenerational connections.
