To the left of us is the former mansion of Henry Clay Frick in which today houses the rich art collection that he acquired.Henry Frick was a steelworks magnate from Pittsburgh. At the beginning of the last century he moved to New York. He lived and housed his art collection in this house. The interiors of the house, which have been preserved, are themselves very interesting. It is worth seeing here the collection of Western European painting, particularly the Boucher room and Fragonard room with its series called "Progress of Love." Also displayed are works from the British masters Constable, Whistler, Turner, the Dutch masters Vermeer, Rembrandt, Hals and the Italians Titian, Bellini, Veronese and the Spaniards El Greco, Goya and Velazquez.Photo Frick Museum by massmatt is licensed under CC BY 2.0
