My Guest on the podcast this week is Jessica Freeman, she has over 25 years experience in HR and started her own company in 2014. She is also a coach at Dorking Ladies Rugby as well as a community coach for Harlequins Rugby Club and played Rugby at a very high standard. We met at a business expo last year and starting talking about her upbringing and education, and how a rugby career and career in HR was not necessarily what was expected of her.. Since then I have been excited to have this conversation with her and share her story.. In this brilliant episode Jessica talks about the impact on her, of her mum passing away when she was just 7 years old. She describes that how after her private education she chose a path that wasn't expected of her but created a life where she achieved her 'having it all'. We delve into Jess's Rugby career and the amazing lessons that sport has taught her and how she has taken so many of those skills into business, because as she states - Sir Clive Woodward said:There is no difference between business and sport - it's delivering results through people' It was a brilliant conversation with such varied insights from the world of HR, sport and life in general.Everyone has a story to tell...
