Often, we turn to the things of this world to find happiness and contentment — things that are fleeting and unsatisfactory, which in the end leave us as empty as before and still wanting more. But God invites us to the greatest pursuit of all, the pursuit of knowing Him more intimately. It is only in knowing God and having an intimate relationship with Him that we find joy, peace, and satisfaction our soul longs for. It is when we seek God wholeheartedly that we find that He is the one thing we really need.“…but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” Philippians 3:12-14
