Today we talk with Emma Rinaldo, a registered clinical social worker and psychotherapist at Women's College Hospital and happens to be one of Emily's BFFs. Together, they tackle they conversation around fertility preservation due to a cancer diagnosis. Emma speaks to the different clients she works with day to day that have to face life altering decisions and how she helps them navigate both cancer and fertility conversations with a high pressure timeline.
For the past seven years she has worked in clinical settings including the Neuro-Oncology program and Family Therapy Training Program at The Hospital for Sick Children and is currently at the Peter Gilgan Centre for Women’s Cancers at WCH. She offers support to individuals and their families who are managing acute or chronic health conditions and facing a variety of mental health challenges. Emma has certifications and trainings in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
