One of my favourite short stories is Mr Know All (pdf below). I'm not that keen on other stories by Somerset Maugham, but this one is excellent. It's only a few pages long, and I have a number of lessons on the vocab and grammar in the plot. If you want access to the whole 14-hour course literature course, zap this note 8000 zaps.
