It's a lovely Wednesday morning in Jesus Name!
We're focusing this week on how we escape the corrupting, degrading, shameful effects of this world caused by human lusts.
2Pet 1:4..and we escape the world's corruption caused by human desires by the promises of God.
Psalms 74:20 Remember your covenant promises. For the Land is full of darkness and violence.
When we remember the covenant promises of God, we are safe.
Darkness means obscurity, lack of vision, lack of direction and evil.
Violence talks about the fact that you're exposed to hurt. There is danger and threat
The psalmist is saying that in the midst of these, God has given us his covenant promises. The promise of God is the master key, God's secret channel out of life's trouble.
Life is full of challenges, full of problems and it comes to every single one of us.
1Cor 10:13
There is no problem or challenge that comes to mankind that is not common to everyone. But God is Faithful, He can be trusted. He won't allow you to be challenged or tempted beyond your measure. But with every problem that comes, He makes a way of escape.
What is the way of escape? It is through His promises. 
When you remember them, it helps you escape the darkness and the violence in this world. 
I pray the Lord will open your eyes and give you a fresh commitment to seeking out and living out His promises so you can be safe, preserved and you can overcome the darkness and the violence in this world in Jesus Name.
