The concept of living/operating in 2 worlds or being 2-in-1 is not strange to us.
If you have computers at home or at the office, you know that some computers can dual boot - meaning they can boot in 2 different operating systems. You (the owner) can choose where you want the computer to boot from.
If you like and watch cartoons, you must have heard and watched the story of Superman. He was a regular Newspaper reporter and goes by the name Clark Kent...but he was also the superhero called Superman. 
When God created us from the beginning, He made us fully human and fully spirit.
Gen 1:27 explains that God made man in His image. God's image is spirit
Gen 2:7 explain that God also formed man from the dust of the earth.
When Jesus came, He was both the Son of God and the Son of Man at the same time.
Understand that you are 2-in-1. You are here on earth but you are also seated with Christ in heavenly places.
It is the side you lean to the most that becomes more powerful in your life.
You are a full spirit and you can have a full spiritual experience...but you're also fully human
You can either lean to your senses or you can lean to your spirit.
The part you feed/work with the most is the part that becomes stronger.
My encouragement is this: work more with/lean more to your spiritual part! 
It has more power, strength and ability to drive everything in the natural side.
