Episode Synopsis

With Black History Month coming to a close. It’s seems that if you are a black Christian you are an oxymoron that there is no way you can be both because that’s a white mans religion so therefore you are against your own people is this true? These are serious questions for example the Bible was used to kidnap, murder and destroy a entire people group how can I read something like that. With that being said on this episode we sit down with Jamal Morris to discuss these serious issues.

Jamal Morris is a product of Chattanooga, Tenn., born to the late George Morris and Linda Avila. After a decorated athletic career at Cleveland High School, Morris went on to attend Lee University and graduate with a degree in Youth Ministry.

Jamal Morris started Urban Initiative after sevral years of student ministry in urban Chattanooga. He has also served college students at the University of Chattanooga with a nationally known organization called, “Intervarsity Christian Fellowship” and done various consulting work for over a decade.

The only thing greater than his passion for ministry is his commitment to his family. When he’s not sharing with the next generation of Chattanooga’s leaders, he’s spending time with his wife April and his twin daughters, Kristine and Kayla.
