We have to get to the point where we are living our gifts and we can no longer be concerned about what people say about us. I was for a long time and it stopped me from stepping out, but don't you know the devil is a liar? Jeremiah 1:5 tells us God knew us before we were even born, so don't you think He wants to use us for a bigger purpose than just being scared about what people think? Exactly.
