I finally - after 4 years - mixed a version of this track in Logic Pro X with my vocal added for the poem that I wrote about atomic weapons years ago, plus some Apple loop backing vocals and effects.

THE GARDENER

In
The distance
His flower bloooooms.

But the gardener
Has not seen his garden.
His plants never need
The sun or rain.
He sows his seeds by
Remote
Control.

And when all his flowers
Are at their most radiant,
He proudly presents them
As our wreath.

The photograph is of the Trinity test for the first nuclear bomb. Regarding the poem, I'd seen the horrifying and stark British 1965 drama-documentary The War Game about a nuclear war. Scared the shit out of me all through high school in the 70s.
