Husky Talk is back with Rob Long, a former UConn defensive end and linebacker. Also, the proud father of son Champ who is competing down at the University of Maryland at quarterback.
Rob shares his story growing up in New Jersey and playing Quarterback himself. Being all over the field, he played linebacker on defense and was a force to be reckoned with. He was recruited by UConn and came in undersized but was a spectacular athlete. Also, part of the 1998 team that is the best in UConn football history. I came in 1999 and my first week was tasked with blocking Rob. I don't think I got a finger on him the entire time because of his speed.
