Only our second podcast of this year, this one comes all the way from Amsterdam based Luxembourger Mick Woods.

Back in socially distanced early 2021 our ears pricked up hearing tracks from this mysterious artist getting plays on Dead Man's Chest's SWU Radio Show, with Mick releasing the excellent Cyborgasm EP on Western Lore sub label Lo-Freq soul in May '21.

We followed Mick on instagram and made a connection when it turned out that although he was born in Luxembourg and now living in Holland, both of Mick's parents are originally from Northern Ireland. Mick was really keen to record a podcast for us and, just over a year later, here it is and it was totally worth the wait.

Spanning film noir sampling old Luke Vibert tunes, classic Fracture and Neptune and Mick's own productions through to modern footwork styles and proper ruffneck junglism at the end, we would say this is one for the headphones but it gets pretty spicy towards the end! One thing is for sure, it is worthy of your full attention and we are grateful that Mick took the time to record something like this for us.

Mick, thank you for this excellent edition to the Crilli podcasts. And to everyone else - enjoy!
