Nothing makes me get off social media faster than feeling like I’m being played. The push to make posts that generate interest in a topic only to then force you to read the caption to find out what it is, often burying the information way down on the bottom of caption just to keep you watching longer… It’s a theft of my time. There’s no respect for the value of my attention. It turns me into a mark being conned, and it pi**es me off. It not only makes me scroll past, it makes me close the app and do something else.
