Listen "Anupa Roper – Miss Sparrowlegs tells a story of differences and acceptance"
Episode Synopsis
Anupa Roper has always been on the smaller side, and from a young age experienced shaming just for being a skinny person. While grown-up Anupa was busy being a teacher and raising a family, she knew she wanted to help young people to NOT feel bad about their bodies. Writing Sparrowlegs was not how she initially envisaged doing that, but as we hear all the time on this podcast, the path is rarely straight and clear. In this episode we find out how Anupa found her voice and about her continuing work with words and positive body image for young people.CreativityFound.co.ukInstagram: @creativityfoundpodcastFacebook: @creativityfoundpodcast and Creativity Found groupYouTube @creativityfoundpodcastPinterest: @creativityfoundTwitter: @creativityfounResearched, edited and produced by Claire Waite BrownMusic: Day Trips by Ketsa Undercover / Ketsa Creative Commons License Free Music Archive - Ketsa - Day TripsArtworks: Emily Portnoi emilyportnoi.co.ukPhoto: Ella PalletBuy arts and crafts techniques books, plus books by some of my podcast guests, from the Creativity Found bookshop Help me to keep making this podcast at buymeacoffee.com/creativityfoundSupport the showWant to be a guest on Creativity Found?
