We (Allysia and Dave) have been writing songs for 20+ years. And not just songwriting alone in our basements (though there's been plenty of that), but in bands; music to be performed at shows and recorded on albums. In Dave's case, this includes music that has even won an award. Music and songwriting trends have changed a lot over the years, and in this episode we discuss how our approach to songwriting has (and hasn't) changed along with the times. Our particular approaches to songwriting are quite different, so we compare and contrast. We also talk about our favourite songwriters, and our favourite things that we have written.
