Episode Synopsis

Gina Paradiso and Kendrick Perkins are back to class as they discuss when are the Nets going to turn the corner defensively. Gina questions giving out the Defensive Player of the Year award this year; Perk thinks Ben Simmons is deserving and explains not having fans in the stands also is affecting the level of defense. A look at Wednesday’s NBA games including DAL/ATL (+1/5) as the Hawks continue to impress, Perk thinks Luka can’t get all of the blame and people need to start taking a look at the entire team, including Rick Carlisle. Gina doesn’t even have Luka as an All-Star this year and if Zion continues to play the way he does, he may never be an All-Star. Perk makes his college basketball picks and he makes a case of UMASS, Mizzu and Bowling Green. Then it’s a lookahead to Thursday night as Gina continues to like the Warriors and Perk puts his degree on the line with the San Antonio Spurs. Perk explains why Klay’s comments about Rodney McGruder were childish, corney and entitled. Gina thinks now that LaMelo Ball is starting- not only is he the Rookie of the Year but also deserves to be looked at as an All-Star. Which leads to a discussion of what is the ceiling for Lonzo Ball and Gina makes a surprising comparison. Finally, Perk and Gina discuss who could be left out of the All-Star Game and the Lebron/fan incident in Atlanta.
