Episode Synopsis "Conversations with a Has-been Trailer"
Welcome to conversations with a Has-been! My name is Austyn! As a 3x college athlete (Yes, 3x. I'll explain more later) and now normal person. I wondered to myself if I was the only one who's body strangely goes through the need to condition in the summer months, to being active in the fall, then crash right before winter. Oh...just me? cool. Or maybe you experienced the 5 stages of grief right before your college graduation...yeah, I didn't either... But In all seriousness, I wondered what other former college and professional athletes went through after their 4 years of eligibility was up. Did they make it to the big show? or did they end up play on an indoor team with a bunch of middle aged moms. What did they remember about their last game? Did they know it was their last game? All of these questions and more! I want to see what advice they would give a student athlete knowing what they know now. What would they change? What would they keep the same? And of course any stories off the field that will be with them forever! Join me as we explore what it's like to be a Has-been.
