After 60 years in business we've heard all the myths for pest control - some are true, some aren't B. "All natural remedies are enough."                 1. Essential oils, vinegar, citrus peels, etc. can be deterrents, but don't last and aren't effective long term. C "If you don't see pests, they aren't there."                    i. Many pests typical hide during day and are more active at night If you're seeing, can often mean population is so large that they have no where else to hide D. "DIY pest control is just as effective as professional services."                    i. Many over the counter products can be effective on pests, but homeowners aren't trained on proper application and pest biology/behavior which are vital for true elimination                    ii If not performed properly, issues can actually get worse instead of better leading to needing a professional and potentially a more expensive treatment E. "One treatment is enough to keep pests away forever."                     i. One treatment can be an effective "knockdown", but won't provide ongoing control and prevention F. "Cats or dogs will keep rodents away."                      i. Some pets may instinctively chase or play with rodents, but aren't effective control measures                      ii.
