Yesterday we talked about the selflessness of Naomi, today we talk about the loyalty of Ruth. If "the crowning characteristic of love is always loyalty," then here in these verses we see Ruth's great love. Her love for Naomi led to her loyalty to her. And her love for the God of Israel led her to stay loyal to him and travel back to Bethlehem Judah with Naomi. When it would have been easier to go bac to her old life, it was her love and loyalty the pushed her forward.
