Listen "Dec 19- Moroni 10:32-34"
Episode Synopsis
Elder Renlund once said, "The greater the distance between the giver and the receiver, the more the receiver develops a sense of entitlement." I was just thinking this morning about how true that is of the atonement of Jesus Christ. The closer I am to Him, through prayer, scripture study, temple worship, etc the more I am struck with wonder and awe at the Savior's goodness and mercy and grace and love for a "soul so rebellious and proud as mine." On the other hand when I let those thing slip a little I find myself taking that incredible gift for granted.
I once heard that for gratitude to be true gratitude then we have to feel undeserving of the thing we received.
I feel so undeserving of the Savior's sacrifice for me. In all my imperfection and through my mistakes and my weaknesses, I don't deserve His sacrifice for me. But I know that God loves His children, and because of that He has given me the gift of His Son, and I am SO grateful for His grace!
