Listen "Never Give Up (Hernando)"
Episode Synopsis
Did you know that marriage was a mess in Jesus’s day? In fact, men in that day felt the freedom to divorce their wives for any reason whatsoever. This was the religious crowd that had this view, and they thought that it was biblical! The pagan Roman view was no different. Divorce and remarriage were almost expected. Seneca wrote, “Women were married to be divorced and divorced to be married.” In Rome, men dated the years by the names of Roman rulers, and women dated the years by the number of husbands that they had! Sounds kind of like today, right? This was the context of a question that the Pharisees asked Jesus one day after he had finished teaching. Jesus’s answer to their question blew the minds of everyone in that crowd! Listen or watch as Pastor Rick expounds on this amazing truth.*Video/Audio content will be available on Thursday (Sept. 5th) at 12pm.*
