Regarding the State of the Space Industry 2020 Report that you were one of the four main signatories of, what were your biggest takeaways from both the process of developing this report and the concluding product? How would you recommend space industry folks (civilians included) make use of it?
What is the focus of the Space Vehicles Directorate; what do you believe are the necessary elements to a plan for keeping American capabilities and effectiveness ahead of our geopolitical opponents?
We at least have something of a handle on space situational awareness in Earth orbit. But in CisLunar space, also called XGEO, what are your plans for space domain awareness? (track, ID, characterize), and what relevant technologies should commercial companies be developing/looking into?
Do you have any plans to work on satellite autonomy, or are any current projects being run under your administration that you can discuss?
You just broke ground on a new AFRL Deployable Structures Lab (deployable carbon antennas and solar panels) $4-million, 7,000+ square foot laboratory, which continues the work of the Spacecraft Component Technology Center of Excellence. What kind of missions will development of high strain composites enable?
Tell us about the SSPIDR “spider” project (some of the first experiments to be run at the lab) and the capabilities it will bring to Space Force.
