Welcome back to Cloud and Fire! On this episode, host Jaimie Crumley chats with Rev. Dr. Rachael Lawrence. Rachael is the acting senior minister at the Second Baptist Church, Suffield, CT. In addition to her pastoral ministry, Rachael serves as the Assistant Director for the Center for Education Policy at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. This awesome wife and mom of two chatted with Jaimie about one of her favorite difficult passages from the Gospel of Matthew. That's right! This episode is all about what it means to create a straight highway in the middle of the wilderness. They grappled with the joys and challenges of what it means to live through wilderness experiences, and both shared about the ways they are experiencing the steadfast love of God.
