Hello you out there,
DJ Monty here and welcome to my Soundcloud page. I hope that there is something to cater to your audio tastes.
I've been djing for over 15 years. I started in the tech crew for a large student union based 'up north. With a capacity of 2,000 and working with the big names of the house music scene (Cream, Ministry, Gatecrasher, etc) and rubbing shoulders with A-list celeb DJ's in the DJ booth certainly taught me a thing or two about mixing, finding a good tune and reading the crowd (And other things, but I couldn't say!!)
I have brought and collected records for years and so long as my golden rules of 'Is this a good tune?' is followed I have very open tastes spanning all genres. I have been a speed garage DJ, a Trance DJ, a US garage DJ... so long as the tunes are good and the audience is enjoying themselves, then that's fine by me.
Recently dance music has evolved into forward looking and using live/ old school samples more and more for inspiration, so DJ's like Kissy Sell Out and Anni Mac have become more popular. At the moment, I am trying to recreate that feeling of really loosing it at an old school illegal rave in some abandoned warehouse or field in the middle of nowhere... I hope U Noy!!
