Listen "64-Understanding Trauma from a Faith Based Lens-Winkle"
Episode Synopsis
The experience of childhood trauma and the significant impacts it has on our students, classrooms, and school community, continues to be a relevant and important issue. When students experience Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), we know there is a difference in a child’s cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning, but what can we do? How might we come alongside students who have had these experiences and best support healing, engagement, and interpersonal communication growth within the school setting? This training event will provide updates in current information about how trauma impacts learning and development. Participants will leave equipped with strategies to foster growth in individual learners and how to foster a classroom and school community that enhances connection and resilience.
