John Franco went to 4 All Star games, was the MLB saves leader 3x, and was Reliever of the Year 2x in his iconic 22-year career. A New Yorker to the core, he went to the same HS in Brooklyn as Sandy Kofax, played college ball at St John's with Frank Viola, and then Captained the Mets (a rarity for a pitcher).
