Listen "#6 Let's speak up about period poverty and toxic masculinity with Ameer Abdul"
Episode Synopsis
Tag along for this inspiring and funny conversation with fellow Gen Z Ameer Abdul. Ameer is a menstrual equity advocate and activist serving as the National Campaign Manager at Period; a youth led nonprofit that educates and advocates for issues of menstrual equality and period poverty.A a cis-gener male he provides a unique perspective issue which has traditionally been considered just a female issue, but affect all of us globally. Ameer has led campaigns and protests all over the US and today also serves as the Director of Operations at Morgan Harper for U.S. Senate. What we most admire about Ameer, though, is how he is very conscious of not loosing himself in his work and how we need to take care of each other as activists - we can not achieve a real and sustainable impact alone.Get in touch with Ameer Follow Ameer on Instagram here Head to Period's website here Follow Period on Instagram hereWant more from the Humanity Up Fam?
