Listen "S2E8 CSLR with Phil Anderson"
Episode Synopsis
Has the advice profession ever been as united as it is now in the face of the Compensation Scheme of Last Resort? Nathan and Jordan have certainly spent more time than is healthy railing about it - even to the point of alluding to these eye-rolling sessions of exasperation in recent episodes. But instead of just ranting and raving, we thought the more sensible path would be to invite a knowledgeable, qualified, reasoable adult on to explain thing and answer our questions. Which is why we're so grateful to Phil Anderson, General Manager Policy, Advocacy and Standards at the Financial Advice Association of Australia (FAAA), for coming on to our little podcast to clear things up. In doing so, of course, he's also highlighted that financial advisers around Australia have a really good reason to be so worked about this retrospective, unfair, unreasonable legislation. So, if you're frustrated by the whole CSLR thing and think there has to be changes, reach out to [email protected] (if you're a member) to join in the advocacy campaign. As Nathan says in the episode, if we don't do anything, then we can't complain.
