Jesus paid the price for sin! We can be fully restored, but with sin comes residual consequences. In 2 Samuel 13, we are given an insiders view of gut-wrenching family dysfunction. In chapter 12, King David is told that his sin with Bathsheba would cause calamity. In Chapter 13, we see the seed of scandal that would lead to the deaths of two sons as well as the shame of his daughter. In the midst of this turmoil the shock is King David’s parental paralysis. Someone once said I’d rather do something the wrong way than to do nothing, just do something!
