Listen "Nobody Knows the Trouble I’ve Seen?"
Episode Synopsis
We often think of the Book of Psalms as a disconnected collection of songs that are mostly focused on praise. But the 150 psalms are deliberately arranged in five sections, and praise is primarily reserved for the last third. The first one hundred deal with themes, including dark ones, that are arranged to portray the goal of praising the Lord in the midst of enemies around us and sin within us. It’s a cantata in five parts, whose poetry shapes our hearts and crescendos into the only appropriate response - worship of the God Who rules and redeems.
