Listen "Ready for Rest and Renewal?"
Episode Synopsis
When you think of rest, do you associate it with sleep? In this episode, we will explore how you can rest in the Lord to escape the busyness of daily life. You will learn why rest is important in the Catholic tradition, the benefits of rest, and explore opportunities for rest and renewal. In Matthew, chapter 11, Jesus says, "Come to Me, all who labor and are overburdened, and I will give you rest." Many occupations, including being a student, are sedentary. Taking time away from your commitments or adding rest into daily routines can restore mental energy and allow creativity to emerge. Some questions we reflect on are "What do you need to rest from?" and "What are you resting for?" We hope you will make time to rest in the Lord throughout the year. You will find fruits in your efforts!
