Cate starts this Satsang with a period of silence to quieten our minds and a prayer of willingness to be open for the correction, for the miracle.Cate & Shannon read through the first part of ‘The Picture of Crucifixion’, the first section in Chapter 27, ‘The Healing of the Dream’ very slowly and pause frequently for the teachings to be contemplated. Cate brings focus to the first sentence of this section, “The wish to be unfairly treated is a compromise attempt that would combine attack and innocence.” We wouldn’t think we wish to be unfairly treated, but Cate connects it to the attraction of guilt. We do wish for this. And we need to look at it to have it healed.The only way we can be motivated to see things differently is if we really see how much we’re suffering. We have to come to see that the thoughts are saying we’re being unfairly treated, but nothing is really happening. We need to look at how we’re condemning our brother. We have to see what we’re doing. Cate asks everyone to look at where we want to say “You did this to me. You’re guilty.” This is where we hold a picture of our crucifixion before our brother’s eyes. Cate shares about her journey and how she saw she was doing this and how she was guided to let it go.Cate also asks everyone to really see where the idea “Behold me, brother, at your hand I die.” has come in the past. Search for the character to blame. Then she asks everyone to see if they can sink a little further down to see that it’s about God. Cate takes everyone through a meditation at 1:00:10 starting with a prayer in the Text and brings in a forgiveness practice on the belief of being unfairly treated in Lesson 95.
