To begin and to set up the Christ Blessing, a way of knowing our brother and ourself as the holy Christ, Cate and Shannon read paragraphs 6 and 10 from A Course in Miracles (FIP version) from chapter 6, V, C. Be Vigilant Only for God and His Kingdom, the third lesson of the Holy Spirit. Cate then reads this beautiful prayer from Lessons of the Holy Spirit section of the COA version of ACIM: I have been unwilling to recognize that this quest is one of joy. Instead of reacting with anguish at times, and a feeling of frustration and futility, I will to see myself only as I truly am. Nothing else can matter but this. The Kingdom is entirely filled with peace and joy, and I am an essential part of it. Therefore, I must be unwilling to recognize what is already obvious, even in my conflicted state. I will only for God and His Kingdom. This is the only message that is meaningful, because it is my reality. All else is illusion. I will be helped as I offer help to others. I will know myself as I recognize my only true relationship with all my brothers. Shannon then reads the prayer in lesson 262, Let me perceive no differences today. The Christ Blessing is done with anyone who raised their hand. As we join with Jesus/Holy Spirit and say these words to our brother, we see our brother as the holy Son of God he is and in turn, recognize our holiness. The awareness of our holiness illuminates our mind as we allow the content the words are pointing to arise in our mind. Jesus tells us that we can leave no brother out of this holiness so we release all grievances and ask to be shown the holiness in all. The sameness in all. To see All the same. God cannot have imperfections and neither can we because we were created by Him as perfect holy love.
