Listen "Ep.7: Ben Do What?"
Episode Synopsis
Hello and happy new year!
we're back, it's 2026, nah i'm just messing with you, but the holiday season is over which means we're back on a schedule and more importantly our first episode of the new year is ready to drop.
In this episode we talk about colour and its use in the whisk(e)y industry more specifically that old pesky E150, how it affects the flavour and experience of your whisk(e)y (if at all) and our own opinion on the subject (which is basically Jordan's whilst Luke rides the tangent express).
The whisky we review this week is Beinn Dubh from the Speyside distillery given its rather apt use of colouring and the history predating this release in particular.
For those who enjoy our caffeine addled minds' creations I should also mention we have a second podcast which is fictional (or is it?) named GNS where an infinitely shadowy mega corporation with seemingly limitless amounts of money close to hand moves into a small town and slowly takes over.
If you think it sounds fun or just want to shut me up check it out check out GNSradio now wherever you get your podcasts from
or check out the teasers on here.
