The voice of the Lord is above the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. (Psalm 29:3-4) Even though the sounds of the world may seem confusing, ferocious, and even deafening, God is saying to you, “My voice is above the noise.” All those destructive voices and sounds that have tried to attach themselves to you are powerless. He stands above your self-perception. He’s above what others have spoken over you. He’s above all of the critics that surround you, and He’s above all of the doomsayers of our day. Give glory to Him and let Him begin to speak to your heart again. Oh, I pray for you today that you and I would hear His voice anew and discover what we’ve been called to do as His new creation. It’s time to pray.
