Listen "Jury Duty"
Episode Synopsis
In Philippians 4:13, Paul says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” I returned from vacation to find a jury duty notification in my mailbox. To be honest with you today, it's about as refreshing as a mouthful of sand. I sit here in the jury waiting room hoping, and yes, praying, that my name will not be called. After all, I have to be in Ohio in a few days, and I'm doing radio on Wednesday. What if there is a divine purpose to all of this? All things do work together for good, don't they? What if I need to learn something, or someone needs a divine word of encouragement from me? Yet, in the stubbornness of my heart, I'd still rather that my name not be called. Christ can strengthen us any day and anywhere. It's time to pray.
