Episode Synopsis

2 Kings 6:6-7 Then the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, he cut off a stick and threw it in there, and made the iron float. And he said, “Take it up.” So he reached out his hand and took it. In our spiritual journey, there are moments when we feel as if we’ve lost touch with our calling or with the gifts that God has given us. Consider the story of Elisha and the young prophet who lost an ax head in the water. Elisha didn’t retrieve it for him. Instead, he encouraged the young man to reach out and pick it up for himself. When the young man did, the impossible became possible. This powerful act of reaching out signifies our willingness to embrace God’s calling in each of our lives. When we dare to extend our hands toward what seems unattainable, we invite God to turn the impossible into reality. The gifts and callings of God can resurface in your life, even if you believe they’ve sunk away or if you feel stagnant or lost. Recognize today that the choice to strive for something greater is where transformation begins. And watch what God does when He makes the impossible possible. It’s time to pray.
