God gave Abraham an incredible promise. He told him that if he could count the stars in the heavens, that would be the number of descendants he would have. Now, Abraham would have no natural way of understanding the greatness of God’s promise. He told him that he would become a great nation and we know that would be the nation of Israel. God also said that through him, the world was going to be blessed. Now, he didn’t know that through Israel, the Messiah would be born, and through the Messiah was going to be born a people on the earth called the Church of Jesus Christ. You and I are ultimately the fulfillment of what God was promising to Abraham that through us, the world would be blessed. We are the people that God sends into the darkness to bring light. We must tell the world of God’s incredible promise through Jesus Christ. Start talking to God today. It’s time to pray.
