When we apply for a job, we often do so based on only a short job description and a few interactions with recruiters. It can be an intimidating proposition—we want to make sure we can fulfill all the responsibilities of the job and find a role that will meet our many, varied personal expectations. So, how can we find a good “fit” between our careers and our personal goals? Is it even possible? And if so, what happens if we find that we’re a good fit for a job, but not for a company?
