Carole Hooven is a co-director and lecturer at Harvard University's Department of Human Evolutionary Biology. Her recent book, "T: The Story of Testosterone, the Hormone that Dominates and Divides Us" is a deeply researched, spirited romp through the juice that makes men, men. In this conversation we speak about her research into cars and the endocrine system, her thoughts on "toxic" masculinity and femininity, and how academia is failing to uphold its own standards of free inquiry and robust debate.
