In this episode my guest Dr. Chirag - a neurosurgeon and fitness enthusiast, and I discuss how much protein we really need, based on our activity and goals. The literature has been confounding, with too many trains of thought. At times like these, our best bet is to direct our attention towards the recent peer-reviewed literature. We discuss what high-impact papers say about the recommended dietary allowance (RDA), advantages and disadvantages of whey protein protein supplementation, plant versus animal protein and creatine monohydrate as a supplement for not just muscle, but also the brain.
