Dr. Nicholas Wright, MRCP, PhD, a distinguished neuroscientist whose work explores the intersections of the brain, technology, and security, offers thought-provoking insights from his forthcoming book, Warhead: How the Brain Shapes War and War Shapes the Brain. His research challenges conventional understandings of conflict by revealing how cognitive science and neuroscience shape and are shaped by the dynamics of modern warfare.
Dr. Nicholas explores the intersections of neuroscience, human behavior, and technology to understand the dynamics of competition and conflict. Over the past decade, Dr. Nicholas has advised the Pentagon’s Joint Staff, and he provides strategic guidance on artificial intelligence to SAP, Europe’s largest technology company.
He is an Affiliated Scholar at Georgetown University, Honorary Senior Research Fellow at University College London (UCL), Consultant at Intelligent Biology, and a Non-Resident Adjunct Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. He holds a medical degree from UCL, a BSc in Health Policy from Imperial College London, Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), and both an MSc and PhD in Neuroscience from UCL.
The book is set to release in October 2025 and will be available on all major platforms.
