Organized by the Drucker Society of Austria, it featured speakers like C.K. Prahalad, Charles Handy, Joseph Maciariello, Rick Warren and Philip Kotler. Doris Drucker (Peter’s widow), then 97, urged building on Peter’s ideals rather than creating a museum of his work. Subsequent favorable coverage from global media - Harvard Business Review, The Economist, The Financial Times, Forbes and Les Echos, to name a few - turned the autumn forum in Vienna into what Les Echos called the “Davos of Management” - an essential date in the management calendar. The Drucker Forum is committed to quality in all its aspects: speakers and content, organization, facilities, networking, interactivity, personal exchange and internationality. About Dr. Richard Straub: After a 32-year career at IBM where Dr. Straub held various executive positions including those of Chief Learning Officer and Deputy General Manager for the European IBM PC business, Dr. Richard Straub jointly with his wife, Ilse founded the Global Peter Drucker Forum in 2009. The inaugural conference was held that year to honor Dr. Peter Drucker on what would have been his 100th birthday. The Forum is now in its 16th year and has become a globally recognized platform and reference for advancing the practice of management. In 2024 Dr. Richard Straub announced a flagship initiative spanning the five years to the 20th Forum in 2028 to reframe and renew management for the 21st century, under the title “The Next Management”.
