Alongside his corporate career, he and his wife Janet founded WhirlWhims LLC, inventing and marketing patented games including Pitchburst®, Boom Blaster®, and Downpour Derby®. These ventures brought both successes and “uh-oh” moments, inspiring his book, uh-oh! How to avoid unintentional blunders that derail entrepreneurial success, and goof-proof your business.Since retiring from Bayer in 2022, William has mentored small business owners with SCORE Delaware, helping them spot blind spots early and grow sustainably.
