Listen "Shame Resilience"
Episode Synopsis
Some feelings we feel day-to-day are useful. Some not so much. And some can be actively desctructive. Today we're talking about a concept that everyone reading this will be familiar with—and that is shame. It's that voice which says words such as "I am not lovable", or "I'm not good enough". Shame causes people to feel trapped, powerless and isolated. In today's episode, we want to discuss what shame is—and possibly even more importantly, what shame isn't. How is it different from guilt? Is it ever useful for us to feel shame? And how can we take advantage of self talk in order to help morph these feelings of shame into things like remorse or guilt (the good kind—the one that helps us improve!)? As always, you can find us on our website, http://hl-lifecoaching.com, and join our Facebook group at facebook.com/groups/thebuildingresilienceclub. See you next week! Hosted on Acast.
